Bentley Charles Nalley,
Your dad and I would like to start by telling you how much we love you. We both have loved you from the moment we found out on February 24th, 2011. You changed our lives at that very moment. We couldn’t wait to share our news with family and friends.
We began to prepare…Mommy bought tons of books and began researching everything from prenatal care to how many diapers we may use to reviews of the toys we would begin to purchase. Daddy began to work crazy hours so we could be financially stable, and we could buy you everything you needed. Many times people would say we were crazy and that we were “too prepared”. We ignored them because we wanted the best for you—that is all we ever wanted…
Daddy and Mommy found out on June 20, 2011 that our bundle of joy was going to be a baby boy. Your daddy was so excited. He was anxious to make you our little UNC basketball player and Mommy was ready to make you a Yankee’s baseball player. Mommy and Daddy often disagreed on this….considering your dad is an Orioles fan. But, hey, it wouldn’t have mattered ultimately either way…we would have loved you either way. We both knew you were going to change lives because you’d already changed ours tremendously—we just never thought it’d be this way…
Word’s really can’t explain our love for you. We can’t ever explain how much we care about you. We can tell you that our love will never change and we will never forget you. We are thankful for the 38 weeks that we got spend with you. Mommy misses feeling you moving in my stomach—I still feel you—and I will never forget those flutters and kicks. Daddy misses seeing your little foot kick his hand while we laid in bed. We will never forget those moments. We don’t have the memories that many have, but we’ve got a different kind of memories, and we have hope. We have hope to meet you in again.
We may not have had a lifetime with you, but we are thankful for the time we did have. We are glad we got to hold you. You had Mommy’s nose and daddy’s feet. You had daddy’s chin and mommy’s lips. Your hair was the most unique shade of reddish tint with brown and blonde. You are the most precious, sweet baby born. Bentley, it is a privilege to call you our son.
We miss you every day…we always will, but we will never forget! We are looking forward to seeing you again one day, and we will in Heaven. You’re running through the streets of gold right now and you’re pain free! You are mommy and daddy’s guardian angel. We will be awaiting the day until we see you again. We can’t wait to hold you in our arms again…I know we will hear those words we longed to hear—“ I love you Mommy and Daddy”. We love you Bentley Charles Nalley always and forever…
Until we meet again, love your Mommy and Daddy
